Content marketing copywriting service

Content marketing with blog posts and articles is one of the best ways to attract your ideal customer to your website.

Before you create your content marketing plan you need to do deep keyword research so that you have a list of target SEO search terms to optimize your blogs with. For tips on how to do this read my blog post HERE.

The trick to content marketing is to take your keyword research and identify what questions your ideal customer is searching for, or what problems they are looking to solve. You need to frame your blog posts and articles around those questions and problems.

Steps to creating your content marketing plan…

  • Make a list of your target audience’s questions and problems
  • Turn those search queries into engaging blog titles
  • Decide how frequently you want to post – I would recommend a minimum of one per week, ideally three
  • Use a calendar or spreadsheet to create a schedule for your blog posts – write down which topic you are going to post in what week
  • Note down which social media platforms you will distribute your blog articles on with engaging post copy

Complete those steps and you will have a content marketing plan!

The next step is to create all of the content that will become your blog articles. This has to be well-written, and it needs to provide great value to your readers to be effective.

Do your research and invest time in writing these articles. The investment will pay for itself many times over when you attract your target customer to your website and they buy your product or service.

Alternatively, hire an experienced content marketing copywriter to nail all of this for you!

What is HTML on Amazon and How Can I Use It?

HTML on Amazon and how to use it - Amazon Listing Service

For professional sellers, the technical side of listing your products on Amazon can seem overwhelming. It’s important that you make your listing look professional so it that it builds trust and persuades your potential customers to add to cart.

One way to ensure your product listing looks professional is to use HTML code in the product description section.

This is basic code that allows you to use enhanced formatting like bold for your headline and call to action, line spaces, and bullet points for your key benefits and features.

If you don’t include this HTML code in the product description section your marketing copy will appear as one big paragraph of text. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that customers do not read through large paragraphs of text, especially on Amazon!

Any professional Amazon copywriter will provide you with the HTML code to copy and paste into this section on the back-end, so you don’t need to worry about generating it for yourself.

Sometimes HTML product descriptions are mistaken for Enhanced Brand Content listings (or EBC listings). These types of rich product detail pages include images and text modules instead of just standard text. However, you need to be ‘Brand Registered’ with Amazon in order to be eligible for this type of listing, and for this you need a trademark.

With my professional Amazon Listing Service you will not only get a HTML product description as part of the package, but you will also get killer marketing copy that helps you build trust, stand out and convert sales.

B2B Writing Service: Boost Your Sales With A Business Case Study Copywriter

Business case study writing service - tips from a B2B copywriter

A well-written B2B business case study can do wonders for your sales! It is a powerful, yet subtle sales and marketing tool that not only demonstrates social proof, but also allows your potential customer to imagine how your product or service will improve their everyday life.

The perfect length

Include links to these case studies on your website’s homepage, landing page or sales page. In my experience, I have found that a short 500 to 750 word business case study is most effective. The reality is, that most prospects don’t want to read through a huge amount of text to find out what the main benefits of your product or service are, and what your existing customers have to say.

I’d recommend hiring a professional case study writing service so an experienced B2B copywriter can create this powerful sales piece for you.

The following are the key elements a business case study template should include for maximum impact:

An attention-grabbing headline

Effective business case studies should start with an inspiring headline that tells your potential customer the top line benefit your product or service delivered for your existing client. This is essential to get right so that your sales prospect reads on.

Introduce the client

This section is a short summary to introduce who your client is. Big them up! You want your prospect to be impressed with your existing clients. This section also uses social proof and builds credibility with your potential client by demonstrating that another company trusts in your product or service.

Describe the challenge

You then need to tell your prospect what problem you solved for your client. Be detailed in describing the challenges your client faced and set the scene for the next section in which you will describe how you met those challenges.

Make your solution shine

This will be the most persuasive section of the entire business case study. Here you will describe how your product or service specifically solved the client’s problem. For example, this could be anything from saving them money, time, or man-hours, to public scrutiny or reducing their environmental impact. Whatever problem you solved, you need to sing about it in this section and really make it shine.

Kill ’em with the results!

This section might not always be possible if you don’t have hard facts, stats, or metrics to demonstrate your successes. Just another good reason to hire a B2B business case study copywriter, who will find results where you might not see them.

Create a compelling Call to Action

Now you have demonstrated how amazing your product or service is, you need to include a compelling sales message and Call to Action that tells your prospect what you want them to do next.

Summarize the main benefit of your product or service, then tell your prospect how you want them to: get in touch, buy now, start a free trial, or book a demo. It’s really important to include this message, otherwise, it is a wasted opportunity!

How to Find the Best Amazon Listing Services – 5 Things to Look Out For

April 26, 2019
/ /
in Blog
/

If you type ‘Amazon listing services’ into Google, you will get many different companies and copywriters vying for your business. Let’s be honest, I am one of them.

However, I would like to share with you some tips on how to select the best person to craft the rich marketing copy of your product listing and optimize it effectively for SEO.

The choice can be overwhelming, so make sure you double-check these important factors before selecting your Amazon listing service.

1. Verifiable listing samples

If the Amazon listing service company has the experience they say they do, then they should have plenty of examples of top sellers and brands they have worked with on Amazon. For example, here are the top sellers and brands I have worked with on Amazon.

Anyone can send you links to the Amazon store, so try and get further proof that they have indeed created what they are showing you. Which leads me to number two…

2. Customer testimonials

If the copywriter or Amazon listing service company has achieved success for their clients, they should have real testimonials from happy customers recommending their service. For example, here is what my happy clients had to say about my Amazon product listing service.

Make sure the company, some of which are situated around the world, haven’t cheated and used a stock photo of a professional person. One indicator that the testimonial is fake is just giving their customer a first name.

Full names, job titles and the company they represent is what you should be looking out for, or asking them to supply.

3. Compare the copy quality

Once you have verified that the listing samples and clients are legit, compare the quality of marketing copy between Amazon listing services. Is it rich? Is it persuasive?

Which one would get you to ADD TO CART?

4. Beware the bells and whistles

Most Amazon listing services will offer you a ridiculously large word count and unlimited revisions as part of their package. This can seem like great value, but it is a big red flag.

Firstly, when it comes to marketing copy, it is quality not quantity that matters. Customers don’t want to have to read through large amounts of text. They want to hear how your product will improve their life in the most simple and concise way possible.

Of course, you have to balance that with including enough copy to incorporate your SEO keywords, but that still doesn’t mean overwhelming them with large chunks of text. So, offering a large word count for your listing is pointless and suggests that the company or individual doesn’t know what they’re doing, or is being misleading!

It is a similar scenario with unlimited revisions. Being offered this suggests that you will not receive outstanding copy the first time round, and that you will need to spend time providing your chosen writing service with feedback on revisions you would like to make.

With my Amazon listing service, I offer two rounds of revisions, knowing full well that these are rarely ever needed, or if they are, it is usually just tweaks to words based on new ideas.

Other bells and whistles to be wary of are:

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY – this person or company is demonstrating that they are a Jack of all trades, master of none.

KEYWORD RESEARCH – while this element is crucial to a successful Amazon product listing, it takes a lot of time to do it well. So, offering it for free as part of a package is suspicious (unless the package price is high). It tells you that they will not spend the required time doing a deep competitor analysis, marketplace search, Google search or professional keyword tool search. Instead, I offer keyword research as an add-on service, because it requires hard work and expertise.

PRODUCT LISTING UPLOAD – I can’t stress this enough! It is unwise to let a third-party anywhere near your Seller Central account without first verifying their identity and credentials.

Most copywriters will supply you with the rich SEO optimized marketing copy as a Word document for you to upload yourself. But there are some services that offer to do that for you as part of their package. Please be wary when using these kinds of services. Of course, if you have bulk products, you may have no choice but to use this type of company.

5. Remember – if it’s cheap, there’s a reason

This last one is synonymous with many things in life that seemed too good to be true. The truth is, that being an expert in copywriting, online marketing AND the Amazon marketplace requires years of experience and a certain professional capability.

If the package is cheap, it is a massive indicator that you are not getting someone who is genuinely experienced in, or good at, those things. Otherwise, they would command a much higher rate.

So, if you want your product to be successful on Amazon, be prepared to invest a decent portion of your budget in the listing copy and SEO optimization. I guarantee it will pay itself back many times over! If you skimp in this area, it doesn’t matter how much time, effort and money you’ve spent getting your product to market – it will fail at the last hurdle!

My Amazon listing service passes all the tests I have mentioned above and doesn’t include any unnecessary or misleading bells and whistles. GET IN TOUCH today for a quote and I’ll write your Amazon listing so it builds trust, stands out and converts sales.

How to Increase Your Website Sales With SEO Optimization

As a professional copywriter, I have said many times in my posts how important rich, persuasive marketing copy is when it comes to making sales. But, you also need to attract your ideal customer to your website in order for them to read your carefully written sales copy.

To do that, you need to conduct deep keyword research and optimize your website pages with those search terms. Done correctly, this free organic traffic will be primed and ready to hear your sales pitch.

First let’s look at keyword research…

The best place to start is with your competitors. Analyze their websites and make a note of how they describe their product or service. This will form the beginning of your keyword list.

You then need to take that list and put each phrase into the Google search bar to see what the automatic suggestions are for that root keyword.

website optimization service - Google search suggestions

Remember to try and find search terms that show intent to buy.

If you are doing keyword research because you plan to attract organic traffic via content marketing then search terms that begin with things like ‘how to’ and ‘what is’ or ‘how can I’ are perfect phrases to form your blog posts around.

Once you have developed your list from competitor research and Google suggestions, you can then use a professional keyword research tool to find more keyword opportunities, along with monthly volume statistics and competitive rankings per search term.

From here, you can drill down and create a targeted list that balances a good monthly search volume with medium to low competition.

Now optimize your website pages with those keywords

Once you have that deeply researched list, you now need to place those keywords naturally throughout your website copy. This can be tricky because you don’t want to spoil your rich marketing copy, but you also need the search terms to be included in order for the Google bots to recognize that they should serve up your website in the search results.

I will let you in on a little PRO TIP…

Place your keywords strategically in page elements like section headers, image captions, image file names, and in the footer section of your website.

I recommend hiring an experienced website copywriter to do all of this for you. A professional copywriter who is well versed in SEO optimization will weave your target search terms into your marketing copy seamlessly.

It may be tempting to bury your head in the sand when it comes to SEO optimization. But trust me, if you make a little effort in this area you can achieve the Holy Grail of online marketing – attracting customers that are already primed to buy your product or service without having to pay for their visit via PPC ads.

The Incredible Sales Power of an Email Marketing Sequence

Sales and marketing email copywriting service

Building an email list and marketing to it is still a very effective way to make sales. But, your sales performance will only be as good as your marketing email copywriter.

This series of automated marketing emails is designed to sell your product or service to someone that has given you their email address by either buying one of your products, or signing up to receive something you have offered for free (we call this a ‘lead magnet’). Each email typically sends the reader to your sales page in order to take advantage of the offer.

Set the right tone

Effective email sequences have an engaging conversational tone while inspiring trust in your company. They also tell a story and sell in the benefits of your product or service.

You need to be careful not to come across as spammy, otherwise you will lose that important sales asset (the customer’s email address) and could be at risk of being pegged as a spammer with Google and excellent automated email services like MailChimp.

Hire the right person for the job

To avoid this, you need to hire a direct response sales email copywriter to strike the fine balance between conversation and story, and persuasive sales copy that inspires the reader to take action.

These digital automated email sequences have replaced traditional direct mail or sales letter marketing. But the sales principles are still the same and the classic sales techniques need to be applied.

Invest in a professional email writing service and the initial budget you spend will be paid back many times over.

Find the perfect number

The number of emails in your sequence depends upon the product or services you are selling, and how warm your prospects are. This needs to be carefully planned in terms of scheduling and content so that you can make the most out of each and every email address you collect.

Get that right, and your email sequence can make you a ton of money while you sleep, which is true passive income!

Want an experienced direct response copywriter to create a killer email sequence for your product or services? Take a look at the brands and online entrepreneurs I’ve helped with persuasive sales copywriting, then GET IN TOUCH TODAY for a quote.

Seller Tips: Why You Need a Pro Copywriter for your Amazon Product Listing

April 23, 2019

With over 206 million unique monthly users in the US alone, Amazon presents online entrepreneurs with vast opportunities to make a ton of money.

If you hit the market place at the right time with the right product, you can absolutely kill it. For that to happen, you have to be extremely lucky or have seriously done your homework and moved fast on a hot product.

However, there are still ways to make a lot of money and become a leader in your category, even though the competitive landscape is tough.

A crucial thing to get right is the marketing copy of your product listing. This needs to be rich, persuasive, informative and inspiring. It needs to be powerful enough to persuade the customer that they can trust you as a seller and that they should buy your product over your competitor’s product.

Your marketing copy should also make your potential customers imagine their life with your product in it. This can be achieved with benefit-lead copy.

Not all copywriters understand how to do this effectively. Instead, they will stuff your product listing with features instead of benefits. Benefits answer the customer’s number one question – “What’s in it for me?”

The other crucial element your Amazon product listing needs is SEO optimization. You need to do comprehensive keyword research by conducting a competitor analysis and using professional keyword tools to make sure you know what the top keywords are on both Amazon and Google.

Once you have a list of target keywords for both the front-end marketing copy and the back-end search terms box, I advise hiring an experienced and professional Amazon listing copywriter to weave those search terms naturally throughout the text. This will allow your product listing to come up in many more customer searches, ultimately improving your traffic and sales conversions.

When choosing the right Amazon copywriter to hire, ask for samples of listings they have created. For example, here are the top Amazon sellers I have helped with powerful words that build trust, stand out and convert sales.

I can’t stress this enough. It is crucial that you invest a decent portion of your budget to create a product listing that is rich, persuasive, and able to come up in lots of customer searches. The investment will pay for itself many times over.

If you skimp in this area, it doesn’t matter how good your product is or how much you have spent getting it to market. If there’s one thing that will make your business fail from the get-go, it is a sub-standard product description.

Ready to to make all your hard work pay off with a killer product listing? My Amazon listing service will provide you with everything you need to make a ton of money on Amazon. GET IN TOUCH TODAY FOR A QUOTE!

How to Optimize Your Website Copy to Increase Your Sales – Part 2

April 18, 2019
/ /
in Blog
/

Following on from part 1 of this series on How to Optimize Your Website Copy to Increase Your Sales, I’m going to share more sales elements that your website needs to optimize for serious conversions.

For numbers 1-3, follow the blog link above.

4. Summarize the benefits and features

Now you’ve got the customer’s attention and they trust you as a company or individual, it’s time to go into more detail about the features and benefits of what you’re selling.

Remember! Features are not benefits. Many online entrepreneurs and sellers confuse this at significant cost to their conversions.

To demonstrate this, we’ll look at an iPhone screen cover example:

Feature = Durable tempered glass
Benefit = Protect your phone’s screen and resale value

The rule of thumb with benefits is to answer your customer’s no.1 question – “What’s in it for me?”

In your sales copy, you need to tell them how your product or service is going to improve their life, instead of expecting them to guess by just listing a feature – lots of customers will not make that leap of imagination.

Don’t get me wrong, listing the features of your product or service is important. Just make sure they don’t replace, or are more prominent than the benefits. A website copywriter can weave stand out features into rich marketing copy that is framed around a benefit.

5. Include some killer customer testimonials

This section is all about social proof – and it is POWERFUL. When other people tell us that that a product or serivce has positively changed their life, then a) we want some of that action, and b) we know we can trust the company and what they’re selling.

If you have testimonials that address some of the barriers your customers may have when making their purchasing decision – use them! Also try and make sure the customer giving the testimonial is a representation of your target audience.

Just getting started and don’t have testimonials yet? Offer some friends, family or early adopters a free sample or trial and ask for their honest feedback.

6. Write a compelling ‘Call To Action’

A ‘Call to Action’ is telling your customer what action you want them to take next. At every stage of the customer journey, you need to be asking yourself this question – what do I want them to do next? Then tell them in your copy.

A standard CTA is: Learn More, Shop Now, Read More, Buy Now

A more imaginative one could be: Get My Discount, Claim My Free Trial, I Want This!

Notice how those last examples are written from the point of view of the customer?

And don’t just wait until the end of your web page before including this CTA!

Statistics show that including a CTA button at the top of a web page is excellent for conversions. Give the customer a chance to sign up or buy whatever you’re selling plenty of times throughout your website copy. If you’ve nailed the other elements I’ve talked about in this series, it’s way more likely your website visitors will click that button.

Hire a professional copywriting service to nail it for you! GET IN TOUCH and I’d be happy to help!

How to Optimize Your Website Copy to Increase Your Sales – Part 1

April 15, 2019
/ /
in Blog
/

Even if you have written your web copy to show your passion and how your product or service is solving a problem, if you don’t optimize it for sales conversions, you are leaving money on the table.

In this series of posts, I’ll show you how to use benefit lead sales copy in a classic sales structure in order to get your website visitors to take action.

1. Lead with your value proposition

Your value proposition clearly states in a few words the biggest benefit of your product or service – what problem are you solving for your customers?

It is often challenging to capture this value proposition in a few words (which is why you should hire a professional copywriter to do it for you), but if you can get this right, you will dramatically decrease your bounce rate and capture the user’s attention. They will then be engaged enough to stay on the page and hear your sales pitch.

For example, a meal planning service could have the following value proposition:

Make mealtimes a breeze

Or an on-demand car cleaning service might have this value proposition:

We’ll clean your car while you work

It is important to make this value proposition as simple as possible so that your customers can understand the message within a few seconds.

2. Reinforce it with a sub-line

This value proposition (usually the main headline of your homepage) is then supported by a sub-line that gives the user more detail once you have grabbed their attention.

So, in the meal service example, the sub-line might look like the below:

Save money, learn how to cook, and have more time to spend with your loved ones

For the car cleaning service it could be:

We’ll come to any location in Manhattan and clean your car while you work, shop or dine out.

The idea with these elements is to explain the benefits and demonstrate how you’re going to improve the customer’s life in just two short lines. This is designed to hook them in so they continue reading more detail.

3. Demonstrate your credibility

Next, your customer needs to know who you are so they can work out if they should trust you as an individual, company or brand.

Include a short About Us paragraph that tells a brief story about who you are and how you came to solve their problem with your product or service. Tell them what your Unique Selling Proposition (USP) is, and what your vision for the future of the company is. Write all of this in a ‘you-focused’ tone.

Even changing the above three elements of your website can help to increase your sales. The next post in this series will look at more ways to optimize your website for conversions, including features and benefits, customer testimonials and calls to action.

Look out for part 2 – COMING SOON!
